The Route
Segment 11 (5 3/4 miles): From the Offas Dyke path turn-off follow the lane through towards the Skirrid mountain turning right on to an unsigned lane after a mile (watch out for a horse and rider signpost).

Follow the flat and gently descending lane along the slopes of the Skirrid with excellent views over the Gavenny valley.
After about three miles bear left near New Court farm and continue past the Craft centre up to the junction with the minor road to Llantilio Pertholy. Turn left at the junction and follow road up to junction of the B 4521 (Skenfrith road). Cross over the road and continue straight ahead past the Golf course up to the tee junction in front of Tredillion House.
Segment 12 (just over 2 1/2 miles): From Tredilion house follow the cycleway route through Abergavenny to the Waitrose roundabout near Llanfoist bridge as described in Ride 6 segment 9.
Segment 13 (1/2 mile): From the Waitrose roundabout follow the route back through The Cutting to Llanfoist Crossing car park as per Segment 3 of this ride.
Segment 14 (3 miles): Continue through Govilon and on to the three way junction just at bottom of Gilwern Hill near Ty Cerrig cottage as per Access route R.
Segment 15 (2 miles): Ascend Gilwern Hill (easy-moderate) to the Lamb and Fox at Pwlldu as per Access route Q.
Segment 16 (2 miles): From the Lamb & Fox follow the road to the Keepers pond and descend the B 4246 road to the Ironworks as per Access routes S-W.
